Do to this claim exceeding $300,000.00 Travelers Insurance has reassigned this claim was to a senior adjuster from their main office in North Carolina.  Mike, from ProCAM, met with the Travelers Insurance adjuster, cost verifier, and Old Dominion (Construction Contractor) on Friday 9/9 to review material standards for the repairs and to discuss the claims processing procedures.  As a result of material standard changes discussed, Old Dominion was required to revise their cost estimates.

On Monday 9/12, Mike received the scope of work estimates from Old Dominion for the units that had water damage on the day of the earthquake.  He is currently preparing these packets for each individual unit owner and is planning to mail, or hand-deliver these to owners on Thursday 9/15.
Old Dominion’s revised cost estimates were received on the night of Tuesday 9/13, however these will not be released until the Insurance adjuster and cost verifier have completed their review.  These will likely not be ready for 7-10 days.
Although the cost estimates have not been release, the Insurance adjuster has given approval for Old Dominion to begin work when they are ready.  Old Dominion has provided a tentative start date of Tuesday 9/20.  The units that they have sustained the most damage will be addressed first.  Other damaged units will be addressed on a first come – first serve basis according to when ProCAM has received the Old Dominion “Authorization for Repairs and Payment” form from unit Owners.  If your unit has been reviewed by Old Dominion and you have not yet filled out this form, please print, fill out, and sign the form attached to this notice and email or fax it to Mike Prutz at ProCAM ( or (703) 536-8105)
A formal letter is being compiled by Mike which will explain the complete process going forward and will be included with the scope of work estimates expected to be sent out on Thursday 9/15.
Traveler’s will not handle any additional claims directly with owners and all issues must be processed through ProCAM.  The process of submitting additional claims will be included in the package that is expected to be sent to owners on 9/15.
