Dear Residents,
Please read the following important additional Winter reminders:
Thermostat/Heating
Keep your thermostat set to a minimum of 67 degrees at all times. This prevents the pipes from bursting. Also, you might notice the hallway heaters turned on. This is done by property management staff to ensure that all pipes in the building are kept warm. Please, do not turn them off.
Building Key
Keep your building key with you at all times. As mentioned before, the call boxes tend to freeze up in the winter time so it is important to keep your building key with you at all times. If you do not have your building key, ask a neighbor to lend you theirs so you can make a copy. It also might be a good idea to get your neighbor’s phone number, so you can call them in case you forget your key and get locked out. If you get locked out and cannot get in touch with one of your neighbors, please, do not call a locksmith to change the locks of the building door, this will lock everyone else in the building out. Instead, message the Board using the Report an Issue form on the website and put “URGENT” in the subject line. Someone with a master key will work to assist you as soon as possible.
Dues
With the dues increase, multiple mailings were sent out by the Property Management Company and Truist bank that seemed to offer somewhat contradictory information. To help clarify things, if you received a letter from Truist, you do not need to take any action. However, if you have your dues payment setup through your bank’s billpay, then you need to update the amount to reflect the new monthly payment, by December 27th.
Sincerely,
Westwood Village Board of Directors
