To all Owners and Residents:
As announced on October 5, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Westwood Village Townhomes Association and Westwood Village Condominiums Unit Owners Association approved the installation of security cameras at our gated entry. Due to inclement weather earlier this week, the installation was pushed to today, October 10, 2025.
As the installation will complete today, we wanted to make owners and residents aware of the policy adopted in relation to the camera/license plate recognition system.

Westwood Village Front Gate Camera & Data Use Policy
Purpose:
The Westwood Village Condominiums Unit Owners Association (the Association), in conjunction with the Westwood Village Townhomes Association, maintains video surveillance cameras at the gated entry for the limited purpose of enhancing community security, deterring criminal activity, and protecting Association assets.
Scope:
- Cameras are installed only at common area entry gates.
- Cameras do not record audio.
- Cameras are not intended for monitoring residents’ personal activities inside homes or private property.
Data Handling & Access:
- Recordings are retained for 30 days, unless needed for investigation or legal purposes.
- Access to video recordings is limited to the Board of Directors and the management company of each association and law enforcement upon formal request.
- Recordings may not be copied, disclosed, or used for personal reasons.
Limitations:
- Cameras are intended as a deterrent; the Association cannot and does not guarantee prevention of crime or unauthorized access.
- The Association is not responsible for loss or damage that may occur despite the presence of cameras.
Signage:
Notice of video surveillance will be posted at the gated entry in a visible location.
Adoption:
This policy is adopted by the Westwood Village Condominium Board of Directors on September 18, 2025, with an effective date of October 10, 2025, and may be updated from time to time as needed.
