Dear Owners and Residents,
The Westwood Village Condominiums UOA and Westwood Village Townhomes HOA have approved the installation of security cameras at our gated entry. These cameras include a license plate recognition (LPR) system and an optical zoom video camera.
Purpose
The cameras are being installed to enhance community security, deter trespassing, and protect community assets.
Key Information re: the LPR System/Camera

Video only: The cameras do not record audio.

Limited placement: Cameras are located at the community entry gate only.

Data handling: Recordings will be stored securely, accessible only to the UOA and HOA Boards and property management, as needed. Video will normally be retained for 30 days unless required for investigation.

Law enforcement: Recordings may be shared with police in the event of a criminal matter.
Signage will be posted at the entrance to notify all drivers that video surveillance is in use.
The CUOA expects that the cameras and related signage will be posted on or near October 8, 2025, weather-permitting. Thank you for your cooperation as we take steps to strengthen safety and security for all members of our community.
