Pet Reminders

Hi Westwood Village UOA Residents,
Complaints are increasing regarding visible pet waste left on common areas.  The Westwood Village UOA Board of Directors would like to remind all residents to clean up and leash their pets while on walks throughout the community.

RULES:
Failure to pick up after pets and properly dispose of waste is finable under Westwood Village UOA Association bylaws and Fairfax County Ordinances.  The Association spends considerable money on the upkeep and repair of the landscaping elements, not to mention the recently installed landscaping throughout the entire community.  THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS IS AGAIN CONSIDERING INCREASING CONDO FEES, IMPOSING A MONTHLY PET FEE, FINING OFFENDERS, AND/OR REVOKING PARKING PRIVILEGES TO OFFSET THESE INCREASING COSTS.

PET STATIONS:
A total of six pet waste stations are conveniently located throughout the community.  Each is equipped with bags and a lidded trash can.  A new station was recently installed a few months ago, and another was relocated to a more accessible location.  Please make a note of their locations.

HOW CAN YOU HELP:
In order to keep your community clean and beautiful, as well as maintain property values, the attention of every resident in addressing this problem is requested.  Please keep pets off the landscaping beds and consider taking pets into the neighboring wooded area.  If you witness anyone violating the rules, please help us enforce our community rules.  RESIDENTS ARE STRONGLY URGED TO IMMEDIATELY REPORT ALL VIOLATIONS THROUGH THE WESTWOOD VILLAGE UOA WEBSITE BY MAKING USE OF THE REPORT AN ISSUE / ASK A QUESTION FORM.

Respectfully,
Westwood Village UOA Board of Directors
