Tysons Forest Deer Management Program

Fairfax County staff are beginning their review of the 2023-24 Deer Management Program set to begin in September and are considering several parks for deer population control.  The Tysons Forest, which includes the Old Courthouse Spring Branch Stream Valley and Raglan Road Park, is under consideration for this program.  As part of the planning process the County will be hosting a community meeting on April 27th from 7:00 – 8:00pm at the Patrick Henry Library located at 101 Maple Avenue East, Vienna, VA to seek out community input both in support and opposition of this effort.   Your input will contribute greatly to the decision-making process as to whether the Tysons Forest is included for deer management.  If you are unable to attend the community meeting but wish to contribute your thoughts and feedback about the deer population, please send your comments to katherine.edwards@fairfaxcounty.gov.  For more information about the Fairfax County Deer Management Program, please visit www.fairfaxcounty.gov/wildlife/deer-management-program.

Kind Regards,
